I’m Kiersty Loughmiller, lawyer by day, mother always, and long-time advocate for small business. Twelve years ago, I graduated law school at Brigham Young University and moved on to gain expertise in multiple legal facets: juvenile and district courts, representation for the oil & gas industry, and transactional attorneyship. Basically, I’m qualified to help you. Business legalities can be confusing, so I’ll work alongside you to untangle the jargon and steer your venture towards success. Like a modern-day Miyagi teaching you how to karate kick your way through contracts and LLCs.
I promise, not all lawyers are stuffy. They can even have hobbies! Mine include sewing, photography, and dabbling in watercolors. A large part of my childhood was dedicated to dancing, and when I’m not writing a killer contract, I can still get down and bust a move.
A small business becomes part of a person’s family, like a second, needy child. When I take you in as a part of my family, you are just that: family.
To form or not to form?
Creating a specific and customized set of formation documents is an investment into the growth of a company. It sets a foundation for current practices while looking to create boundaries for future development.
Owning the trademark for your company name and products is a huge asset. It creates additional legitimacy to your entity and protection for the brand you are creating as you grow your business. Monitoring and enforcing the Trademark helps to defend your business.
Is an LLC the right entity for you?
Why we network and how we should we change it?

"Working with Kiersty has been the BEST decision I have made for my business. She helped me get all of my legal ducks in a row so that I can stop worrying about contracts and licenses and all of the things that I am not passionate about sorted so that I can focus my energy on the things I AM passionate about, which ultimately makes me a better designer and allows me to serve my clients in the best way possible."
Every entity is unique and requires specific provisions to provide the proper foundation for future growth. This includes everything you need to have a legally formed entity.

Every state has specific requirements that may not be currently included in your contracts. See how a contract can best reflect your needs when tailored by someone on your side. If you don't have any contracts and need help coming up with the best terms for your business, I can help.
When your business outgrows an LLC, transitioning to a corporation requires a series of steps, and I am here to make it as painless as possible.
KIERSTY LOUGHMILLER
I graduated from law school in 2008 when the legal market was a mess. I fell into an odd specialty that I had never considered while in law school. I became an Oil & Gas Title Attorney. While it was not my dream job, I was good at it. Throughout the past 15 years, I would help friends get their businesses going and help review their contracts. I called it my legal hobby.
Fast forward to the global pandemic of 2020, and the oil market disappeared along with much of my title opinion work. However, for me, it is allowing me to pivot in a way that takes my legal hobby and create this space.
I am so excited to be a full-time advocate for business owners at all points in their journey. You've got this, and I've got you.
